There’s Still Madness in the Method: Testing for Food Market Integration Revisited

Food market integration is a precondition for the effectiveness of the market liberalisation programmes being implemented in many developing countries.

This paper evaluates the statistical performance of four commonly used econometric tests for market integration and shows that all four are statistically flawed.
