This seminar will showcase community-led innovations focused on enhancing equity and sustainability in food access in the city of Brighton & Hove. It will examine experiences that emerged in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and cost-of-living crisis, focusing on how communities responded to multiple challenges.

The discussion will explore the extent to which these innovations transform local food relations to promote rights, equity and sustainability. Featuring research from the Building Back Better from Below project, the seminar will also include a panel of local innovation champions who will share their insights and strategies while discussing the support needed to strengthen existing innovations and foster new ones.
