Join this high-level event Multilateralism at a crossroads: Transforming challenges into opportunities for a sustainable future, with senior representatives from Brazil, South Africa and Spain, along with expert speakers for discussion and Q&A.

Multilateralism is facing significant challenges amid geopolitical shifts, rising nationalism, economic instability, unsustainable debt burdens, and sudden cuts to international aid budgets. However, given widening inequalities and the need for more inclusive and sustainable economies, the demand for effective international cooperation is more pressing than ever.
This event, organised jointly by the New Economics Foundation (NEF) and Institute of Development Studies (IDS), brings together representatives from Brazil, South Africa and Spain to discuss the opportunities for global collective action, at three significant international events: the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Seville, the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, and COP30 in Belém, Brazil.
