Project

Development and piloting of an FAO political economy analysis (PEA) tool for agri-food systems, food security and nutrition policies and programmes

This project aims to support the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO)’s strategic priority to improve nutrition for the most vulnerable through development and piloting of a political economy analysis (PEA) tool to improve agri-food systems, food security and nutrition policy formation and implementation.  The PEA tool is designed to support country-level, evidence-based multi-stakeholder dialogue and decision-making to help identify and prioritise nutrition-related challenges within the political economy landscape and foster cost-effective policies and programmes to address these. The PEA tool is being piloted with three FAO Country Offices in Indonesia, Nigeria and Pakistan with final results anticipated by end of 2022.
