As an individual, there are a variety of ways to support us, including one-off, regular and legacy donations.
We believe that philanthropy is for everyone and no donation is too small. We offer our supporters:
- Dedicated support from a member of our Fundraising Team
- A choice of how your donation is used, and regular reporting back on the impact of your donations (dependent on the level of investment)
- Specific initiatives that you can support
- Exclusive invitations to events

Support us through your organisation
Organisations partner with IDS to support a wide range of initiatives. Some give one-off or annual unrestricted gifts, which allow us to use the money to address our identified priorities at that time. Others work in partnership with us to support a specific piece of research or area of work. We also have non-financial partnerships that allow us to collaborate on pursuing funding opportunities.
Fund our work
We work with multilateral agencies, philanthropic organisations, governments and non-governmental organisations to help maximise the impact of their development strategy. To ensure that our research has maximum impact, we develop multi-year programmes which are underpinned by learning activities. These programmes are designed and delivered by IDS in collaboration with partner organisations.
The benefits of partnering with us include knowledge transfer, recruitment, capacity building and networking.
