According to different climatic regions facing different problems on water resource, four representative regions in China are chosen in the project; after setting up different objectives, this paper demonstrates the comprehensive research on climate change adaptation, and proposes new ideas, framework and methodologies on screening for climate change impacts and adaptation.

Economic powerhouse and nutritional weakling' – how does India move away from this Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde existence? This is the focus of the authors in this IDS Bulletin, nearly all of whom are Indian or India-based. The Bulletin first reviews child nutrition in India: what is going up and what is going down, and for whom and where?
This research seeks to assess the impact of China’s growing economic relationships in Latin America and Africa in the context of a major structural shift in the global political economy; ‘South-South dialogue’; and sustainable development strategies addressing poverty alleviation and reduced inequality.
The Triple-S Initiative aims to catalyse systemic change in rural water policies and practices, to move from an infrastructure-based approach towards service delivery approaches. IDS is providing ongoing external learning and methodology support to the initiative.
There is a new and widespread commitment within the development community to invest in agriculture as a way of reducing poverty and hunger. Three quarters of the one billion people surviving on less than $1 a day live and work in rural areas, and most rely on agriculture for their food and income. Investing in agriculture is key to lifting the world's poor out of hunger and poverty.
